About Us
The Rowswell family invites you to experience the incredible Saskatchewan hunting & fishing that they have provided satisfied clients for many years.
Kevin
and Cheryl Rowswell have welcomed visiting fisherman and hunters
for many years to their hunting and fishing operations. The Rowswells
run two seperate operations, Big Sky Outfitting waterfowl hunting and the fly-in Wheeler River Lodge.
Big Sky Outfitting is based at their home near Cut Knife, Saskatchewan. We offer both a spring snow goose hunt as well as a fall migratory and upland bird hunt and are based at the Rowswell’s beautiful farm – which just happens to be located in “waterfowl Heaven”! Waterfowl hunters will thrill as flight after flight of birds drop into the decoys. We will have the fields spotted and equipment ready when you arrive.
Wheeler River Lodge offers incredible fishing as well as hunting for black bear and moose. Kevin and Cheryl are very proud of their beautiful fishing and hunting camp on the Wheeler River. This total wilderness experience offers the finest opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle.
Ammunition can be purchased onsite.

DIRECTIONS From Edmonton International Airport:
- Turn left - north to Hwy 2 North to Nisku
-
Turn East (right) on Rd. 625
- Turn North (left) on Hwy 21 to Hwy 14 East. (Tofield, holden, Viking, Irma, Wainwright to Saskatchewan border. Sask Hwy 40 east to Marsden, Neilburg
- From Neilburg, heading east towards Cut Knife, 25 kms
- Hwy running SE - set of corners by small silver steel tank on left side of the road. Make a gentle left at tank (second left) and proceed 1 mile east. House on left side of road.
DIRECTIONS From Saskatoon Airport:
- Upon exiting the airport parking lot, turn left on 45th Street.
- Turn left at the lights on Avenue C North.
- Follow signs to Highway 16 West.
- Merge onto PROVINCIAL ROUTE 16 W / TRANS CANADA HWY W / YELLOWHEAD HWY W toward THE BATTLEFORDS / EDMONTON.
- Take the HWY-4 S ramp toward BATTLEFORD.
- Merge onto PROVINCIAL ROUTE 4 / PROVINCIAL ROUTE 40.
- Turn RIGHT onto PROVINCIAL ROUTE 40.
- Once past Cut Knife, travel 10 km west on Hwy 40 to Wilbert Store. Turn right (north) for 3 km,
- Turn left (west) for 3 km. House will be on right side of road.
